Q: Does Sweet Peas Design (Libertyville, Chicago) charge an initial consultation fee?

A: Yes, because we will be sharing a lot of valuable interior design ideas with you. If you become a client, the fee is applied to your total payment.

Q: Do you charge by the hour or the project?

A: Either. It depends on the size and scope of the project. Is it a single room update or a whole house? New construction, remodeling or renovation?

Q: Do you have a team?

A: Yes. Sweet Peas Design is a full-service studio with a team of five, including interior designers and an architect associate. We handle every aspect of your project, but I am your main point of contact.

Q: Will I have to find my own painters, carpenters and other trades people?

A: No. We have developed a team of talented and reliable trades people whom we trust. We handle all the details because we want to make the experience easy and enjoyable for you.

Q: Will I have an opportunity to discuss what I want?

A: Yes, when you are engaged in the process we do our best work. During our initial consultation in your home we will discuss your goals, lifestyle and preferences for color and style. Then we bring our experience, creativity and talent together to create a space that reflects your vision and personality.

Q: Will I have the opportunity to approve all design choices?

A: Yes. We always provide options and cost estimates and give clients final approval prior to purchase.

Q: Is there a Sweet Peas Design style?

A: We have a very flexible, broad approach that I call LivableLuxe, the “little black dress of interior design.” It is relaxed, elegant, comfortable and refined, and always the perfect fit for your home. We believe that every home should tell the story of those who live there.

Q: Do I have to start completely fresh?

A: Absolutely not. We are well known for repurposing and incorporating existing furnishings, artwork and heirlooms into updated spaces.

Q: Do you come to my home to supervise deliveries and installations, and do you handle any problems that may arise?

A: Yes.

Q: After the initial consultation, how will we communicate?

A: We will schedule as many meetings as needed with you for the purpose of making decisions, adhering to the schedule or monitoring progress. We also will communicate via telephone and email.

Q: How fast will you respond if I have a question?

A: We will return telephone calls, email and other communications within normal business hours Monday through Friday or within 24 hours of receipt.
